Mapping results 2020

Network training supports members’ response to COVID-19
These additional trainees were brought on staff support the response to increased demand on Barnahus Iceland and the Zagreb Child and Youth Protection Center during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Mapping of European Barnahus 2020
The purpose of this survey is to develop a general overview of Barnahus and the national context they operate in. This will give us a good platform for our ongoing work of identifying needs and opportunities, and in the implementation of activities that are relevant for a variety of national contexts.
PROMISE Hub – an online case management system
The Hub will be based on an existing tool in use by 8 Barnahus in Sweden. It will automatically collect de-personalised, comparable European data on violence against children and track performance. Tracking daily events in each case will provide a useful case management tool, and key information collected by integrating the child consultation module may be used to influence policy, law and practice.
Announcing the 5-year strategy of the Network
Priorities of the 2020-2025 strategy include developing the Network, fundraising in different formats, supporting network members with education and tools, enabling exchange and study visits, and establishing communication routines for the Network and for promoting Barnahus.

Presenting the #EUBarnahus Exhibition
In conjunction with the launch of the PROMISE Barnahus Network, we also unveiled an exhibition – both in-person and online – about support for Barnahus and Network. The exhibition featured the voices of officials, professionals and – most importantly – children!

The founding members of the PROMISE Barnahus Network have made a notable impact on the spread of Barnahus throughout Europe and are committed to promoting this model of multi-disciplinary and interagency interventions for child victims and witnesses of violence.
