The child protection room

Including assessment of protection needs, and following up the child victim and siblings in the family.

The physical wellbeing room

Offering medical examination and treatment which is child-friendly and carried out by specialised staff. Both for forensic investigative purposes, & ensuring the child’s physical wellbeing and recovery.

Highlights of the resources and support the Network provides to help members achieve excellence in the physical wellbeing room include: medical examination training, tailor-made training, webinars on medical evaluations, mapping of medical interventions in Barnahus in Europe.

The mental wellbeing room

Offering examination and treatment including crisis support, short and long-term therapeutic services addressing the trauma of the child and non-offending family members and caretakers.

Highlights of the resources and support the Network provides to help members achieve excellence in the mental wellbeing room include: training in various therapies, mentorship and peer support, webinars on therapeutic services.

The multidisciplinary foundation

Managed through joint case management and review, with a view to avoiding (re)-traumatisation, and also in securing outcomes in the best interests of the child.
