Barnahus quality standards training

The Barnahus Quality Standards is not just our hero document – it is also the publication which current and aspiring Barnahus from 27+ countries have contributed to and/or are currently implementing.

The Standards contain concrete guidance for child-centred and effective collaboration, along with the legal support and real-life examples for each standard. They are an indispensable tool for building a common understanding around why and how to establish a Barnahus.

Many countries have had success by arranging a series of events to educate and generate dialogue, and using the Standards as their starting point.

In conjunction with your event, we can send one or two top European experts to support your event by presenting the Barnahus Quality Standards and answering questions.

Activities could include:

  • An introduction to the standards, to a broad stakeholder audience, supporting the idea of Barnahus and raising awareness.

  • A deeper dive into each of the standards, with the aim of supporting decision-makers and policymakers to use the standards in their work to create an enabling environment for Barnahus.

  • Training sessions on thematic areas, diving into a small selection of the standards, geared towards a professional group or a multidisciplinary team. Can be in combination with other trainings or a study visit.

  • inspiring decision makers with paradigm-shifting presentations about the impact – for children and professionals alike – when working interdisciplinarity under one roof;

  • speaking doctor to doctor, judge to judge, prosecutor to prosecutor, etc about key considerations and opportunities;

  • linking national progress towards Barnahus to the international movement and practice.
